Oshane Thomas miss out on Bangladesh Premier League debut

by January 4th, 2019

Jamaican pacer Oshane Thomas has missed out on making his debut in the Bangladesh Premier League which gets underway on Saturday.

Thomas was picked up by the Rangpur Riders during October’s official BPL Draft, where he was set to play alongside T20 batting legend and countryman Chris Gayle.

However the 21 year old failed to secure his no objection certificate from Cricket West Indies and has instead been named to play for the Jamaica Scorpions who opened their account in the Regional Four Day Championship on a losing note.

Another Jamaican – left-arm pacer Sheldon Cotterell – is tipped to replace Thomas who shot to fame during the 2018 Caribbean Premier League.

The 2019 BPL ends on February 9.
