Organizer of the North Central Track and Field meet have sought to clear the air on the official date of the meet this year which will be next Saturday January 19 at Nornado Bauxite complex in Discovery Bay.

The meet was inadvertently published for an earlier date on the JAAA’s calendar, but Duen Daley president of the North Central Amateur Athletics Association (NCAAA)’ has sought to set the record straight for coaches and athletes who are gearing up to proceed with registrations.

Some of the events down to be contested include the 100, 200, 400 and the 800 meters as well as the 1500 meters.

This is in addition to the sprint relays for prep and primary and high schools as well as clubs and institutions.

The meet is a qualifier for the annual ISSA/Boys and Girls Athletics championship which will be staged this year between March 26 and 30 at Kingston’s National Stadium.
