Dottin & Nation lead WI Women to easy win over Pakistan

West Indies Women are off to a victorious start in the three-match t20 international series against Pakistan in Karachi after recording an emphatic 71 run win thanks to half centuries by Deandra Dottin and Chedean Nation.

The duo shared in an unbroken third wicket stand of 109 as the Windies piled up a massive 161 for 2 from their 20 overs.

Dottin led the way with an unbeaten 90 from 60 balls that included 8 fours and 4 sixes.

Nation meanwhile slammed 4 fours and 2 sixes to bring up her maiden T20I 50 from just 35 deliveries.

Pakistan Women in reply was bundled out for just 89 in 18 overs with captain Bismah Maroof (38) and Javeria Khan (16) the only batters to get into double figures..

Shamilia Connell (3-29) was the most successful of the Windies Women bowlers while there was 2 wickets each for Shakera Selman and Anisa Mohammed.

Dottin, named Player of The Match, ended with 1 for 18 while Afy Fletcher took 1 for 18.

Final scores West Indies 161 for 2, Pakistan 89 all out.

The second game in the series will be played on Friday also in Karachi.
