Reggae Boyz 54th on FIFA Rankings

Jamaica’s remains in 54th place on the FIFA/Coca Cola World Rankings, the first ranking for 2019.

Jamaica also continues to be the number one ranked Caribbean team and 4th in Concacaf.

Mexico, at 17, remains the highest ranked team in Concacaf ahead of the United States at 25, while Costa Rica slipped one place to 37th on the overall ladder.

Meanwhile, Curacao, who dropped one place to 81, lies second in the Caribbean ahead of Trinidad who also slipped a place to 93. Haiti (103), Antigua and Barbuda (126) and St. Kitts and Nevis (134) round out the top five.

Newly crowned Asian Champions Qatar gained a whopping 38 places to be ranked 55th reaching their best position since 1993. Beaten finalists Japan also made jumping 23 places to be ranked at number 27.

The top ten remains unchanged with Belgium remaining number one ahead of world champions France followed by Brazil, beaten 2018 world cup finalist Croatia  and England

The top ten is completed by Portugal, Uruguay, Switzerland , Spain and Denmark.
