by February 26th, 2019

The alliance between Jamaica and China is set to be further strengthened.

This as sixteen of Jamaica’s leading Chinese enterprises have joined forces to form the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Jamaica (ACEJ).

The launch of the ACEJ held under the theme “Growth through alliance, connectivity and cooperation” took place at the Spanish Court Hotel in Kingston, today (Feb 26).

The ACEJ is a nonprofit organization, inclusive of companies such as China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), JISCO ALPART and Huawei Technologies Jamaica Company Limited.

It is geared towards enhancing social and infrastructural development locally.

President of ACEJ Dr. Hu Zhimin said the association will strengthen the bond between Jamaica and China.

Meantime, Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica, Tian Qi endorsed the launch.

Noting that Jamaica has benefited from China’s investments, he says there are far more advantages to come, one of which is job creation.
