Shamera Sterling included in final 11-player squad to represent the Adelaide Thunderbirds

Exciting sunshine girl’s defender Shamera Sterling has been included on the final 11-player squad to represent the Adelaide Thunderbirds at the inaugural Suncorp Super Netball league Pre-season tournament.

The competition…..dubbed the Suncorp “hash-tag team-girls cup” is set to run from March 8 to 10 at the New Queensland State Netball Centre in Brisbane.

It will be contested by all eight Suncorp Super Netball league teams who will be split into two pools of four with teams facing-off in a round-robin format before going head-to-head with the opposing pool on the final day.

Sterling who joined the Thunderbirds during the off-season will line up for her new team in the opening match of the competition against reigning back to back league champions sunshine coast lightning.

Jamaican shooter Jhaniele Fowler meanwhile will be in action for losing finalists west coast fever against Shimona Nelson and the Magpies netball team while Romelda Aiken will take centre-court for the Queensland Firebirds against a Melbourne Vixens team that features Kadie-Ann Dehaney.

Each match will consist of 10-minute quarters and each team will play four matches over the three days.
