Jamaica set to host the 2019 Concacaf Caribbean Club Championships from May 12-19

Jamaica is set to host the 2019 Concacaf Caribbean Club Championships from May 12-19, 2019 at the Stadium East in Kingston.

Reigning Red Stripe Premier League champions Portmore united football club and Waterhouse will do battle against Haitian football clubs as Capoise and real hope fa.

The winner of the competition will qualify directly to the Scotiabank Concacaf champion’s league with the runner-up and third place teams qualifying for the Concacaf league.

The fourth-place finisher will face S.V. Robinhood from Suriname, the winner of the 2019 Caribbean club shield competition played in curacao.

This play-off will qualify a third club for the Scotiabank Concacaf league.

In making the announcement, Concacaf’s chief football officer Manolo Zubiria explained that the championship is another event being hosted by Jamaica that will help to transform the sport in the country and the wider region.

Meanwhile on the opening day on May 12 Portmore United will play Real Hope of Haiti before Waterhouse play Capoise.

on May 14 Portmore will play Capoise after Waterhouse meets Real Hope.

Portmore and Waterhouse will square off in the third and final round on May 16 after the two Haitian clubs play in the curtain raiser.
