Director of the Road Safety Unit (RSU) Kenute Hare is again imploring road users, to consider the pain and suffering of friends and relatives of crash victims.
He is also urging relatives and friends to ensure that drivers and other persons in motor vehicles take all the necessary precautions and wear safety gear.
This in the wake of reports, that at least 6 persons were killed in accidents over the weekend.
The deaths bring the tally to 150 since the start of the year.
Mr. Hare made a special appeal for motorists on the Mandela Highway.
The RSU Director suggested that family members forego spending money on luxury items, and instead purchase safety gear for motorists.
He called on motorists to do some introspection.
