by May 3rd, 2019

Representatives of United States based streaming site Audiomack are currently on the island to get a better understanding of the Jamaican culture and its music.

Audiomack is an app that lets you discover thousands of songs from hundreds of emerging artists from genres such as hip hop, EDM, reggae, and R&B.

Co-founder David Ponte in an exclusive Music News interview says he’s on the island with his team to create an album dubbed Skyline Kingston.

Tarrus Riley, Vanessa Bling and Jahmiel among two others are expected to be featured in Audiomack’s Skyline series.

So what makes audiomack different from existing streaming companies such as Apple, Spotify, and Tidal? David Ponte further explains that their aim is to highlight emerging artists and new sounds from not only the United States but Jamaica and the rest of the Caribbean.

According to Ponte, rappers Future, Young Thug, and Kodak Black, along with Jennifer Lopez, Diplo, Mr. Easy, Alkaline, Spice, Chronixx, Kranium, and Chronic Law are some of the entertainers who use Audiomack.
