It has been confirmed that Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Kevin Durant will miss the remainder of the Western Conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets.
The news was announced by the team and comes after Durant was diagnosed with a mild right calf strain.
Durant picked up the injury late in the third quarter of the 104-99 win against the Rockets on Wednesday night as he went up for a jumper over Rockets swingman Iman Shumpert.
Durant did not appear to make contact with Shumpert, but after landing, he took a few steps up the court, then clutched his right leg.
Durant limped toward the Rockets’ bench, and after a few moments, he went straight to the Warriors’ locker room, accompanied by trainers and general manager Bob Myers.
