Mixed results for Jamaican teams in Caribbean Club Championship

There were mixed results for the Jamaican teams on the opening day of the Jamaican leg in the Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship at the Stadium East Playfield in Kingston yesterday.

Javon east scored in the third minute to grant premier league champions Portmore united a vital one nil- win over real hope of Haiti in the opening game.

In the second game Waterhouse surrendered a two goal first half lead, before being held to a two all draw with the other Haitian opponent as- Capoise.

Andre fletcher put Waterhouse ahead when he scored in the 23rd minute, while Captain Keithy Simpson doubled the lead in minute 28th.

However the Haitian team came storming back in the second half through back to back goals in the 56th and 57th minutes respectively .

Both teams will meet again tomorrow in the opening game at the same venue starting at 5:30pm, before Portmore tackles As-Capoise in the second game at 8pm.
