The Jamaica football federation through president Michael Ricketts is among those paying tribute to Mr. Seaga.
The JFF in a release says many will speak of his role as a statesman; as a long serving member of parliament; of his love and promotion of all aspects of Jamaica’s culture but it is his passion and love for football and other sports, his awesome presence at club and national games and his sharp negotiating skills on behalf of the premier league clubs, which many in football admired and respected.
The JFF added that his chairmanship of the premier league clubs association and the professional football association of Jamaica brought renewed energy, commercial support and unity at the club level.
JFF president Michael rickets in expressing his personal regrets revealed that he developed a great relationship with Mr Seaga because of football.
