An eight month old baby was chopped to death and his mother is being treated for chop wounds following a domestic dispute in Manchester this morning (May 30).
Dead is Roshane McPherson.
The woman, a teacher, was seriously wounded allegedly by her common-law husband, at their home on McKinley Drive.
She is said to be undergoing surgery.
Meanwhile, a search and rescue operation is underway in broadleaf district, Manchester for the alleged attacker.
The man is said to be a taxi operator, however his identify has not yet been released.
His motorcar was found ablaze in Porus, Manchester and it is alleged that he may have jumped into a sinkhole in the Broadleaf community.
The police have engaged other stakeholders with the relevant resources to assist in locating and removing him from the hole.
