National champion Fedrick Dacres launched himself into the history books on his way to a new national record and personal best at Sunday’s IAAF Diamond League meeting in Rabat.
A sensational effort saw him establishing a new Diamond League record of 70.78 metres in the men’s discus to become the 25th man in history to throw over 70 metres.
It took a successful appeal led by a video review to confirm the validity of the world leading effort that was initially struck down as a foul.
Fedrick Dacres appealed his third round foul and it's a good job he did, as he'd broken the #DiamondLeague record with a huge 70.78m throw!
