Minister with responsibility for Education Karl Samuda today told parliament that as far as the administration is aware, a credit card issued to former minister Ruel Reid, is not part of a police investigation.

He was responding to questions in parliament today.

The former minister, the education ministry, as well as some agencies and institutions have come in for scrutiny following allegations of nepotism, corruption and mismanagement.

Samuda said the credit card issued to Reid had a limit of US $3,800.

The responses of the minister led to more follow up questions from opposition spokesman Reverend Ronald Thwaites, who deemed his answers lacking.

He challenged the minister to explain how certain payments from the credit card were approved by the ministry.
