Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton was compelled to defend the integrity of his staff today, following comments from his opposition counterpart, Dr. Dayton Campbell, in parliament.

This after it was revealed that 35 persons died from dengue related complications over the past year and a half.

The opposition accused the health ministry of not providing the public with adequate information.

Dr. Tufton told the house, that the country recorded about 35 suspected or confirmed deaths related to dengue, between 2018 and 2019.

But, Dr. Campbell countered that nobody knew of the 18 deaths recorded this year.

Dr. Tufton stressed that his ministry is not keeping any secrets.
