Four agreements were signed today between Jamaica and Kenya, at the Office of the Prime Minister in Kingston.

President of the Republic of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in Jamaica this afternoon, for a 3 day state visit.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness said the agreements signed today strengthen ties of tourism, culture, and trade, among other areas, with the east African country.

Meantime, President Kenyatta heads a list of overseas dignitaries to attend the 67th staging of the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show.

The event is underway at the Denbigh show ground in May Pen, Clarendon, under the theme: ‘Grow what you eat… eat what you grow’, with the sub-theme ‘Aligning farming decisions with climatic conditions’.

Holness will host President Kenyatta and his delegation at Denbigh, tomorrow Tuesday August 6, Jamaica’s Independence Day.

Other foreign guests expected at Denbigh include Premier of the Cayman Islands, along with his chief minister for agriculture; the chief ministers of agriculture from Belize and the Bahamas; and agricultural officials and head of the Barbados Agricultural Society.
