Not even rain could put a damper on IRIE FM’s Marcus Garvey Celebration that was held on Sunday.

The jam-packed event which saw people from all walks of life gather in the IRIE FM Courtyard, was a true reflection of its theme, One Africa, One Nation. Craft, food, drumming, chanting, and singing, it was a festival atmosphere.

Powerful Garvey tributes came from South African Praise Poet, Singer, and actress Jessica Mbagenni, Dr. David Muhammad, and El Jones.

Other outstanding performances came from Lutan Fyah, Bugle, Prophecy, Chezedek, Sativa Di Black One, and Gavin G.

The curtains for the 2019 Marcus Garvey Celebration closed at minutes to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

The Marcus Garvey Celebration held annually is a free event which aims to educate, uplift, and inspire through the arts.
