Change of Format for 2019 Jamaica High School Alumni Sporting Network (JHSASN) Soccer Tournament

The Jamaica High School Alumni Sporting Network Soccer Tournament (JHSASN) will this year feature a change in format for the 12 schools who will be participating.

That confirmation coming from the Organizers of the Tournament to be staged in Florida at the Lauder-Hill Sports Park on Labour Day weekend September 1 and 2.

The teams in the Manning Cup bracket will play in a round robin format, so too the Dacosta Cup Schools on the side of the bracket, and at the end of the round robin phase the top two teams on either side of the draw, will feature in the semi-final, from which the two finalists will be decided.

Meanwhile The forecast for that weekend shows a 30 percent chance of rain, and this year if there is a delay of game on the pitches, the organizers have already infused other activities to keep the attention of the crowd, several of which will be shuttle races for managers, coaches and past students.

There will also be the Netball Tournament on the Sunday, and the organizers will conform all the entries in short order.

The competition which is in its 11th staging will again be covered by the Sporting Choice and Jamaica’s # 1 Radio Station Irie Fm.
