A man has died as a result injuries he sustained, when a tyre exploded at a garage on Tom Cringle Avenue in Ferry, St. Andrew on Wednesday afternoon.

He has been identified as thirty-eight-year-old Geovanni Bailey of Bolivar Avenue, New Haven, in Kingston 20.

Reports from the Duhaney Park police are that about 2:00 p.m., Bailey was about to pick up the 20 inch tyre, which was loaded with air, when it exploded.

He was allegedly thrown several feet into the air and received several injuries.

He was pronounced dead at hospital.
