Chairman of the Commercial Services Committee in the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, Councillor Duane Smith has described Friday’s meeting with mobile food vendors as successful.

The meeting was the first of three consultations, during which mobile food vendors were advised of the KSAMC’s plans to regulate street vending.

Mr. Smith says the plan to regulate street vending will protect the vendors and residents.

He adds that vendors who participated in the meeting, were able to obtain permits.
