Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson has indicated that the procurement process for body cameras for cops has started.

It’s expected that the use of body cameras should by implemented by the end of this fiscal year.

He was responding to questions posed by members of the Lions Club at a meeting.

The Commissioner explained that the police uniform will need a new design to facilitate wearing body cameras.

Meantime, regarding the system for the Jamaica Eye initiative, work is being carried out to further develop the processing centre.
