The Jamaica Tallawahs crashed to a fourth consecutive loss in the Caribbean Premier League.

On a record breaking night the Tallawahs went down to a 41-run defeat to defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders.

The Trinbago Knight Riders first posted new highest mark in CPL history when they compiled 267 for 2.

At the top of TKR’s batting order, Collin Munro and Lendl Simmons delivered a devasting stand for the visitors, with a 124 run partnership.

Munro cracked 96 from 50 balls, featured 8 towering sixes, while Simmons, whipped 86 from 42.

In reply, the Tallawahs could only manage 226 for five in 20 overs, as opener Glenn Philips top-scored with 62 and debutants Ramaal Lewis and Javelle Glen, scored unbeaten knocks of 37 and 34 respectively.

The loss leaves the Tallawahs without a point at the bottom of the CPL table, with a game against the Barbados tridents tomorrow at the same venue at 7 p.m.
