MOCA secures 29 convictions

The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) has secured twenty-nine convictions since the start of the year.

 

Director General of Moca, Colonel Desmond Edwards, informed the recent meeting of the National Security Council that there are 320 cases before the courts.

 

He added that 102 are being actively investigated.

In the meantime, the National Security Council approved the Citizen Security Plan, which is aimed at improving citizen security in at risk communities.

 

The pan is a key component of Plan Secure Jamaica.

 

The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, included Opposition Spokesman on National Security, Fitz Jackson.
