Kim Brown Lawrence charged as MOCA continues probe into Edu Min / CMU

The Councillor for the Brown’s Town division in St. Ann has been slapped with two charges as investigations continue into allegations of corruption, fraud and misappropriation of public funds involving the ministry of education and the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU).

 

The attorney representing councillor Kim Brown Lawrence – one of the persons taken into custody today – confirmed the charges.

 

Christopher Townsend says the charges are possession of criminal property and conspiracy to defraud.
