National striker Khadijah Shaw scored in the 17th minute but that was not enough for her team Bordeaux who went down 2-1 at home to Guingamp  .

This in the first division of the French women’s football league yesterday.

This brings to four the number of goals scored by Shaw who sits 5th on the goal scorers chart in the league.

In the meantime, Shaw’s team now lies fourth in the standings on 9 points, ………..six points behind joint leaders Olympic Lyon and Paris st Germaine who are tied on 15 piece.

She will next be in action on Saturday when her team Bordeaux welcome Marseille.
