The greatest sprinter of all time Usain Bolt is set to receive the 2019 international humanitarian award in New York City later this week.

In the meantime founder and chairman of Cari-med group of companies Glenford Christian will also receive the award on Friday, October 25.

Bolt and Christian will be presented with their awards at the 2019 hummingbird gala.

Bolt established the Usain Bolt foundation in 2011.

The foundation has provided support to a number of entities including the Walkers place of safety that was destroyed by fire, as well as the Jamaica special Olympics programme.
