Monies owed to the JFF from the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France remains unpaid

Monies owed to the JFF from Jamaica’s participation in the recently staged FIFA women’s World Cup in France remains unpaid to the federation.

That’s the disclosure made by JFF president Michael rickets who in turn is making a passionate plea to the federation’s stakeholders to exercise patience in this regard as the matter is being sorted out at FIFA level.

It is understood that a tax regime is still being worked out by FIFA payable to host nation France.

Recently members of the Reggae Girls squad who represented Jamaica at the FIFA Women’s Coach including the coaching staff threatened to withdraw their services for future events, if the were not paid monies outstanding since the World Cup, However, the debit was eventually settled by the JFF.

FIFA had committed to its affiliates that theses outstanding funds would have been made payable by September 30.
