West Indies head coach Phil Simmons says preparations for the ICC T/20 World Cup in Australia next year begins now and he will be pressing his players to fight through every series building up to the tournament down under.

Simmons says his players must understand that to be competitive again, the improvement of team must be right across the board.

West Indies are the defending t/20 world cup champions and Simmons’s first assignment is the upcoming three match T/20 series against Afghanistan, followed by three one day internationals and a one off test all to be played in India.
