Meantime, the Director of the Road Safety Unit fears the worse for the upcoming holiday season, as road crashes and fatalities continue unabated, despite pleas for motorists to drive with care.

The RSU has recorded 362 fatalities, to date.

Mr. Hare lamented that oftentimes, those killed in crashes are not the ones who caused the accident.

He noted that speeding remains a major contributing factor to crashes.

He is again appealing to road users to be more careful, especially over the Christmas holidays.
