Reggae Boys refuse to train citing unsanitary hotel

Following the Reggae Boys refusal to train this morning in Antigua citing the unsanitary hotel where they were housed, the delegation have checked out of the run down facility and are now making preparations to check into a different hotel.

Team members complained of poor air quality, Moulds in the air conditioning units, mosquitos, lack of wifi in the rooms, no gym facility, unsanitary bathroom and short beds.

The decision to train was arrived at after the boys had breakfast met up for a team meeting and then later decided not to train.

This as they prepare for the upcoming Concacaf Nation’s League encounter against home team Antigua and Barbuda on Friday.

Team manager Roy Simpson was sympathetic to the player’s grouse.

 

In the meantime reggae boys team doctor Bersha Cole explained the full situation that the reggae boys faced at the previous hotel and why it was necessary to leave that unsanitary facility.
