As the government seeks to improve waste collection across the country, Senator Matthew Samuda is calling for a cultural change in the way citizens manage their waste.
Speaking in the senate, today, Mr. Samuda noted that while the country’s capacity for the collection of waste is inadequate, citizens need to change their waste disposal habits.
Meantime, Senator Samuda said efforts will be made this year to develop a pilot project to prevent waste flowing into Jamaica’s marine environment.
