Veteran dancehall entertainer Beenie Man has made attending university easier for a second-year student of the University of the West Indies Mona.

Beenie Man through generous contributions with his Moses Davis scholarship will be helping the student to accomplish her dream of obtaining a university degree. The Entertainment and Cultural Enterprise major at the University of the West Indies Mona, received her scholarship recently via the CB Group UWI 5k, a fundraiser run, held under the theme ‘Running for Dreams.’

In expressing their gratitude to Beenie Man, the organizers of the CB Group UWI 5k posted a photograph of Beenie Man at the recently held run, with the caption “Beenie Man not only entertained the crowd with his performance, but he also gave away a scholarship to a UWI student, thank you, Beenie Man!”

Making philanthropic endeavors a real goal, in July 2018, Beenie Man officially launched his Beenie Man Foundation with a focus on education, youth entrepreneurship, and a cause dear to his heart, sickle cell awareness, and health advocacy.
