Coach Lijyasu Simms says he had to part ways with newly promoted red stripe football league team Molynes United as he is not a yes man .
Simms who brought Molynes united to the premier league tendered his resignation due to what he describes as a personal vendetta against him by chairman Eurado Cornwall who is a member of the Molynes executive.
Simms says given the disrespectful nature of the working relationship with especially Cornwall it was time to step away.
Molynes led the league at the start of the season after winning six consecutive games, but have now slipped to fourth in the standings after going winless in their last 8 games.
In the meantime, the experienced Calvert Fitzgerald who last coached in the 2016/2017 season at Waterhouse could be the man to replace Simms.
Fitzgerald confirmed to Irie Fm sports that he was contacted by the management of Molynes united, but explained that he could not say more at this point.
Fitzgerald who has some 17 years’ experience as a top flight coach, brought Rivoli and august town to the premier league, and also led Olympic and Tivoli Gardens
Simms meanwhile joins the former Harbour View head coach Howard Cephas and former Vere United coach Michael Bennett on the list of coaches who have resigned from their respective clubs this season.
Jerome Waite who won the national premier league four times was shown the door by Arnett Gardens……….Fabian Taylor was dismissed by Dunbeholden just ahead of the start of the season…………….whiled Donovan Duckie was fired by Mount Pleasant after the first match of their current campaign.
