Brian Lara supports to Rohit Sharma and young Prithvi Shaw to break his test record

by December 11th, 2019

Former West Indies captain Brian Lara has given his full support to Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma and young Prithvi Shaw to break his test record of 400 runs.

In 2004 Lara made an unbeaten 400 runs against England in Antigua, and just recently Australia’s opener David warner came close with an unbeaten knock of 335 against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval.

However, the Aussie skipper Tim Paine decided to declare the innings, leaving warner 65 runs short of Lara’s record.

For a batsman to cross a 400-run-mark, he will need to have the ability to stay at the crease for a long time, with immense concentration powers, and Lara said he sees those traits in the India pair of Sharma and Shaw.
