Actn Trelawny Custos calls for more police presence in parish

by April 15th, 2018

Acting Custos of Trelawny Kenneth Grant Jnr is calling on the police hierarchy to deploy more officers to the parish, as part of measures to tackle crime.

Mr. Grant says the matter has come up several times during discussions with citizens and other Justices of the Peace in the parish.

He pointed to a specific need for more boots on the ground in the Ulster Spring, Wait A Bit, and Warsop communities.

Mr. Grant stressed that overall, more cops are needed in the parish to tackle issues such as praedial larceny, and break-ins.

The Acting Custos says he would rather the police man power be available to prevent crime, than having an influx of officers to control crime in the aftermath.
