Acting Custos of Trelwany Kenneth Grant Jnr says as soon as the Custos, Paul Muschett, returns later this week, attempts will be made to have a meeting with the Trelawny police, following a recent incident in Clarkes Town, a video for which has gone viral on social media.

The video shows a police officer being boisterous and using expletives, while he referred to a person he identified as a Justice of the Peace.

Mr. Grant says the incident is regrettable.

Grant, who is also President of the Trelawny Association of Lay Magistrates, says the discussion will be focused on maintaining the good relationship cops and JPs in the parish have, and to prevent a recurrence of the Clarkes Town incident.
