Adjustments of date for International series between the West Indies and UAE

The upcoming three-match one day international series between the West Indies and United Arab Emirates in Sharjah will now begin a day earlier.

The day/night series was originally scheduled to bowl off on Monday June 5 but will now begin with the two teams playing the opener on Sunday June 4 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. 

The second match will take place on Tuesday June 6 with the third and final match scheduled for Friday June 9. 

Both teams, at the end of the series,  will depart for Zimbabwe for their ICC World Cup qualifying campaign which begins on June 18 and will be used to confirm the remaining two available spots for the 10-team ICC Cricket World Cup in India. 

The ‘windies men’s team, under new head coach Darren Sammy, will arrive in Dubai on Thursday June 1.
