Adrian Kerr among Jamaican winners at NACAC under 18 and under 23 Championships

Adrian Kerr and Theianna-Lee Terrelonge were among the Jamaican winners on yesterday’s opening day of the  NACAC under 18 and under 23 championships in Costa Rica .

Kerr won the men’s under 23 100metres final, clocking a personal best of 10.08 seconds, while his compatriot Travis Williams   ran a lifetime best 10.12 seconds to grabbed the silver.  

Terrelonge was also in the winners column as she won the  women’s under18 100metres final, stopping the clock 11.41 seconds, while another Jamaican in the race Abigail Wolfe finished sixth in 11.8 seconds.

Jamaica’s Gary card took the silver in the men’s under 18 -100 meters coming across the line in 10.56 seconds, …behind Kasiya Daley of Antigua and Barbuda  who was credited with the same time. 

Another Jamaican victory came in the men’s under 18 0 400 meters with Trevoy Smith set a meeting record of 51.75 seconds to finish ahead of Cheyne west of Trinidad and Tobago 52.35 and Berkley Mullings of the Bahamas 54.27 seconds.

Assinie Wilson won the silver medal in the men’s under 23 one lap event in 49.70 seconds..

Garriel white ran 56.94 seconds to take the bronze in the women’s under 23 -400 metres hurdles final. 

In the field Danielle Sloley with a throw of 16.23 metres earned the bronze medal in the women’s under 23 shot put final, while world junior silver medalist Kobe Lawrence was fourth in the men’s equivalent .
