The Advocates Network has joined in the call for the removal of the “gag clause,” of the Integrity Commission Act.

According to the group, the clause prohibits the Integrity Commission from informing the public about the initiation or conduct of an investigation under the Act.

The National Integrity Action, the Jamaica Accountability Meter Portal and the Integrity Commission have also called for the clause to be removed.

Member of the Advocates Network, Danielle Archer says the removal will help to ensure transparency and accountability.
