Agri Min warns underperforming technocrats

by November 4th, 2017

Agriculture Minister Karl Samuda has warned underperforming technocrats in his ministry that they will be replaced if they continue to under serve farmers.

Speaking at the recent Eat Jmaica campaign launch in Kingston Mr. Samuda noted that he will be making changes in the ministry so that farmers can receive timely support.

He noted that some workers in the ministry are failing to implement government policy, and he has grown impatient with the behaviour.

Mr. Samuda says action is needed to build agriculture, and if necessary, he will get younger persons to do the job of the experienced technocrats.

He says the ministry must create opportunities for new attitudes and approaches.
