The Ministry of Agriculture says there is no evidence that illegal chicken parts are being imported into the country.

The claims were allegedly made by a member of the Opposition.

Speaking with IRIE F-M news, Portfolio Minister Pearnel Charles Jr said he has noted with concern the claims, but explained that the Ministry has not received any evidence of illegal chicken meat importation.

He is calling on persons to report any case of illegal importation of animal products.
