2018 Commonwealth Games champion Aisha Praught-leer is among a group of 14 candidates vying for 6 available seats on the World Athletics Athletes Commission.

The six seats available include the chair and deputy chair positions, which will be voted on by the Athletes’ Commission following the elections and once the membership has been finalized.

To be eligible for election, athletes must have competed in at least one of the past two editions of the World Athletics Championships, or in the most recent Olympic Games, or be a competitor at this year’s World Athletics Championships.

All athletes accredited for this year’s event in Budapest will have the right to vote in the elections, which will take place during the championships between August 18 to 23.

Voting will, for the first time, be done electronically on portable voting devices, rather than by paper ballots.
