Jamaican Driver Alex Powell recovering after being flipped in Final of 24th Trofeo Invernale “Ayrton Senna” in Italy.
Powell’s debut in the Junior class came to a dramatic halt when he was involved in an accident during the Final of the 24th Trofeo Invernale “Ayrton Senna” event held at Circuito Internazionale Napoli last weekend.
To that point, Alex had been having a good debut. “He was able to stay in the Top 5 in all Practices. Qualified 5th out of 36. He surprised everyone in qualifying, so I guess they were out for him in the first race; he looked like a rag doll being bounced around” reported John, noting that Alex finished 11th in his first Heat then 5th in his second before progressing to the Final.
JMMC wish Alex a speedy recovery. His next event is the WKA in Daytona, Fl, USA on December 27 to 29.
