Jamaica’s swimming star Alia Atkinson has jumped into 5th spot on the money list after the first two meetings in the opening cluster of the 2017 FINA swimming World Cup.
Atkinson with three gold medals after Moscow and Berlin has so far secured an overall $6400 dollars to sit behind Sarah Sjostrom of Sweden who lead the way with $30,500 dollars having benefitted from $10,000 world record bonuses.
So too second place Katinka Hosszu of Hungary who has so far earned $21,500.
Atkinson opened in Moscow with $2900 and followed up in Berlin this past weekend earning $3500
The third and final meet in the opening cluster will be on tomorrow and Saturday in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
