World Record  holder  Alia  Atkinson  opened  up the  6th  stop  of  the  FINA  World  Cup  series  at  the  Tatsumi International Swimming Centre in  Tokyo  Japan today  with  a  6th  place  finish

She placed sixth in the  women’s 100  metres  individual medley after stopping the clock at  59.27  seconds  in the  event  which  was  won  by  the  iron  lady  Katinka   Hosszu of  Hungary  who  was  timed  at  57.25 seconds.

Atkinson  will  be  in  action  again  tomorrow  in  her  pet  event  the  women’s  100  metres  Breastroke.
