The St. Ann police are awaiting the results of an autopsy and toxicology test to determine the cause of death for an American man who was visiting the island.

Dead is 37 year old James Lawrence Ellis 111, a weapons instructor of Mississippi, United States.

Reports are that Ellis and his wife were vacationing at popular resort in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.

It’s reported that on Thursday, December 28, Ellis was drinking heavily during dinner.

After dinner, the couple retired to their bedroom, where Ellis reportedly took his regular medication.

Further reports at that sometime later, the wife noticed that Ellis was not breathing properly, and called for help.

Ellis was rushed to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
