Andre Coley takes up job as Winward Islands Volcanoes Coach

Former West Indies assistant coach Jamaican Andre Coley has taken up the head coaching duties with the Windward Islands Volcanoes for the upcoming WICB/Four Days Professional Cricket League season.

In seven years, Coley who played seven first class matches for Jamaica in the 1990’s was an assistant coach with the Windies men’s squad up to July 2017, a post he has been in since January 2014.

He was also a member of the inaugural management team at the high performance Centre Programme, based in Barbados, 2010 – 2013. During that time, Coley also held positions with the Windies women as assistant coach and team Director.

Coley coached the Jamaica under 15 and under 19 squads, 2006 – 2009; then was head coach of the Windies under 19 squad to the ICC Youth World Cup in 2010.

The former wicketkeeper batsman was also a member of the coaching staff of the St Kitts Patriots for the 2015 and 2016 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
