At least one person is feared dead following a motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of the Grand Bahia Principe Hotel, in Runaway Bay St. Ann, on Sunday morning.

The accident reportedly occurred at about 6am.

It involved a motor car and a motor truck.

Public relations officer at the Jamaica Fire Brigade Kerry-Gayl Forbes, said fire fighters were alerted to the scene, after the truck was seen on fire along the roadway.

He said it was later discovered that the motor car was beneath the truck.

Mr. Forbes said after the fire was extinguished, a body believed to be that of the driver of the motor car was found in the wrecked vehicle.
