Baby Nyyear reunited with his mother

by January 23rd, 2020

On January 13, exactly three months after her baby was stolen, Alliah Wray began a 10 day period of fasting and prayer for the safe return of her young son Nyyear frank.

Yesterday, that 10 day fast ended with the mother being re-united with the baby believed to be her missing child.

While the young mother will have to wait another day to get the results of the DNA test that will confirm the identity of the baby boy, she is confident that the baby, who is now in state care, is hers.

In an interview with Irie FM News, Ms. Wray said it was her own investigations that led to the discovery of her missing child.

She explained how consecutive days of posting pictures of Nyyear on social media and asking for the public’s assistance in locating him, finally bore fruit.

The young mother said she was contacted by an anonymous person who sent her a picture of the woman in whose custody nyyear is alleged to have been found.

After making checks about the woman in the photograph, Wray was able to ascertain her address.

She said she went to the police station early yesterday morning and a team went to the house where Nyyear was found.

Frank was examined at hospital and appears to be in good health.

The woman in whose custody he was found has been taken into custody.

Nyyear who is now four months old, was reportedly stolen from his mother at 5 weeks old, on Sunday, October 13 last year.

Reports are that about 5 p.m. that day, his mother was walking with him along Rousseau Road in St. Andrew when a motor car drove up with three men aboard.

One man reportedly alighted from the vehicle and forced the mother and her baby into the car. The men subsequently took the child and released the mother from the vehicle.

Police are withholding the identity of the woman taken into custody pending further investigation.
